Our artisan gourmet salt company was started in 2021. From the shores of Sicily, Italy, we wanted to bring a piece of Italy back to you.
How we came to sell our salt is a story of an American family that moved from Trapani to New Jersey. My husband, Joe Styler was born in NJ. He attended culinary school when he was young and worked in his famous author and chef Uncle Chris Styler. Ever since, he has been learning and researching with the best classes, cookbooks, and by practicing all kinds of new things, from homemade pasta and pizza in the Ooni Oven to BBQ, smoking, and bread making.
Joe's latest passion is cooking in a pizza oven. When we have guests over for dinner, he creates unbelievable personalized pizzas for everyone that taste just like they’re from 🇮🇹 Italy, or he smokes BBQ. Joe is passionate about cooking because it brings him great joy to cook for others. Folks have told us he should have his own restaurant, as he is an extraordinary chef.
Over the years, we talked about having a food blog with recipes and filming his videos. After all this time, we can finally say our dream is coming true.
Our plan for this Sicilian Sea Salt company is for Joe to share his knowledge and help folks with cooking and recipes.
Joe is a fantastic teacher. During COVID, he taught me how to cook better. I have never been great at cooking (I’m a baker), but now I can create meals that taste like they’re from a restaurant. Joe has been working for GoDaddy for the last 14 years as the Aftermarket Manager and is a leading expert in domain names. Joe’s grandma is from Sicily, Italy.
In 2018, when we were in Sicily, we discovered this amazing magical salt. That’s when we realized what a difference this salt made in the food. There is a lot of salt from Sicily, but we believe we found the best on the entire island and, in our opinion, the best in the world. We started to share this wonderful salt with friends and family, and everyone loved it. Eventually, we decided we needed to share it with you all! If you live in America, you may remember how foods used to taste as a kid when things were pure and natural without all the harsh chemicals. Our gourmet salt contains no added chemicals and is still handmade as it has been for thousands of years.
Once you have our Sicilian Sea Salt in your foods, you will be thankful you tried it because it is a game changer. We truly hope you and all your guests enjoy it. Our company is centered around giving back to the earth and sustainable materials, and the earth is returning it back to us tenfold.
We are a very environmentally and carbon-neutral focused company. Our artisanal sea salt has been made from the ocean for thousands of years in Sicily. No giant mining companies. And it’s the best salt there is! Recycled packaging, reusable jars, renewable resources, no chemicals. We have been working toward being a 100% carbon-neutral company. Our glass jars are reusable and recyclable, and our packaging materials are all recyclable as well. We are an eco-friendly brand.
